New Student Orientation
Welcome to Jackson College! Online orientation is an important step in the admission process where students learn about the college’s policies, procedures, financial aid requirements and what is expected while at Jackson College. It highlights important resources as well as services to support your learning.
To complete orientation you must have your student ID number which can be found on the acceptance letter that was emailed to you. If you are in need of your student ID number, please reach out to us through live chat. Be sure to provide a phone number on how to reach you.
What is my username and password?
Username
Your username is the first seven letters of your last name, first seven letters of your first name, and your middle initial followed by a domain of @my.vbj4.com.
Example
- Name: Jane Anita Evanston
- Username: evanstojanea@my.vbj4.com
Password
Your default password is the first letter of your first name capitalized, first letter of your last name in lowercase, 2 digits of your day of birth, last 2 digits of your birth year, and the last 4 digits of your student ID number.
Example
- Jane Anita Evanston, born on 5/04/1970 with a Student ID of 0151566
- Password: Je04701566

What happens after I complete orientation?
At the end of your online orientation, you will be redirected to a link where you will be able to schedule a meeting with your Student Success Navigator who will assist you with signing up for classes.

When can I complete orientation?
You can complete orientation after you have been admitted to the college. It is recommended that you complete orientation in one setting so that the information will be fresh in your mind for the quizzes.

What happens if I don’t complete orientation?
Those students who do not complete an orientation session will not be eligible to register for classes. Orientation is mandatory to successfully enroll at Jackson College.
